HAVEN of Oakland County, located in Pontiac, Michigan, is the county's only comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The organization provides a 24-hour emergency shelter for victims and their children, offering a safe haven during times of crisis. In addition to shelter, HAVEN offers counseling services, court advocacy, and support groups to assist survivors in their healing journey. Their programs also include the START (Safe Therapeutic Assault Response Team) forensic nurse program, which provides medical examinations and evidence collection for sexual assault survivors. HAVEN is committed to education and prevention, offering programs to raise awareness and prevent future instances of violence.
