April Encore! Meetup: Volunteer at Haven

We’re excited to announce our next Women In Milford Encore! Meetup, happening this April! Once again, we’re coming together to give back by volunteering at HAVEN in Oakland County, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. This is an incredible opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of women in our community while strengthening the bonds of support and resilience that Women In Milford is all about.

Whether we’re cleaning and organizing the Art Therapy rooms or tackling the kitchen space, our work will help create a more welcoming and supportive environment for the women and families HAVEN serves. Volunteering is at the core of Women In Milford’s mission, and by lifting others up, we make our entire community stronger.

Be sure to RSVP soon so we can provide HAVEN with an accurate headcount. Let’s come together to show the power of women supporting women! Questions? DM us or email us—we can’t wait to see you there!

Yesterday’s Women In Milford April Encore! Meetup at HAVEN was a powerful reminder of what it means to show up for others. We spent the morning volunteering in the shelter, working together to clean and organize the kitchen area. It felt so good knowing our time and effort helped create a more welcoming and functional space for the women and families staying there.

The work itself was hands-on and meaningful, but what really stood out was the energy of the group. Being surrounded by women who care deeply about making a difference is always inspiring. Volunteering like this brings us closer not only to the community we’re serving, but also to each other.

Supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault is at the heart of why we do what we do. Women In Milford is all about lifting each other up, and this kind of work is a beautiful reflection of that mission. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and helped—we’re making a difference, one meetup at a time.
