Laura Schwartzenberger
Meet Laura Schwartzenberger, owner of Ironside Vintage & Design in Waterford, Michigan. This vintage and design company was born from her lifelong love of vintage treasures and her passion for creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Laura’s journey began in February 2020 when she started reselling vintage and secondhand items, sharing her finds on Instagram. "Over time, my work naturally transitioned into the design world," Laura explains. "I began connecting with homeowners and business owners looking to decorate with vintage, handmade, and secondhand pieces." This organic growth led her to expand into design services, helping clients transform their spaces with unique and sustainable items.
Laura’s approach to design is rooted in her belief that every space should tell a story. "I especially love working with family heirlooms," she shares. "It’s so meaningful to ensure a family’s history is highlighted and cared for." Her style leans toward cozy, moody, and maximalist vibes, with a special love for Americana folk art, carved wood details, vintage floral and portrait art, brass accents, and fabulous vintage rugs. Whether she’s curating items for her booths or working on custom projects, Laura’s goal is to mix function with form, creating spaces that feel both lived-in and loved.
For Laura, the most rewarding part of owning her business is working with like-minded women and promoting sustainability. "It’s incredibly fulfilling to build something that aligns with my values while empowering others to contribute their unique strengths," she says. You can reach Laura for design consultations and vintage inquiries through her website, social media, or direct email. If you’re looking to bring vintage charm and personalized style into your space, Laura’s expertise is just what you need.
