Lauren Giles

Meet Lauren Giles, stylist at Salon 3 in downtown Milford.  Lauren graduated from the Douglas J Aveda institute in Ann Arbor. She started her career in Milford at a cute boutique bridal salon at the edge of town, where she began to truly fall in love with styling and coloring hair for others. “I learned so much from cutting and coloring to bridal  hair and makeup. It set me up for a great career ahead,” Lauren says.

Lauren moved her honed skills from our small town to the big city, Chicago. She was fortunate enough to have the  opportunity to work on editorial bridal magazines, lingerie photoshoots and was even the hair and makeup for Thom Filicia’s (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) design line ads. 

In the 8 years she lived and styled in Chicago, Lauren also traveled the world. She visited 13 countries, including a 6 month stint in Darwin, Australia, where she worked as a stylist. Back in the states, Ms. Giles moved to Westerly, Rhode Island, and worked in a fabulous beach vacation town, where she was the lead bridal stylist for the New England area. On top of that, she was fortunate enough to have some of the top educators visit her salon and educate her on color and free-handed balayage.

Throughout her tenure as a stylist, at every salon she’s worked, Lauren has met amazing, strong, confident women and men. She has grown special relationships with her clients that are dear to her heart, and still keeps in touch with many of them.

Lauren has found a home at Salon 3. “Jill and the girls here are so welcoming and I am so happy I get to continue my love for hair styling right where it all started,” she says.  And we’re glad to have her back home!
