Tammi Landry-Gilder

Meet Tammi Landry-Gilder, Children’s Author and Blogger.  Her latest book, What Will You Do? was released in May, 2022.

“Most of my books are about empowering children and letting them know they can do amazing things, despite being rather small!” she says.  “For example, my first book, Stink Moves In, was illustrated by elementary school-aged children, and the cover was drawn by a fifteen-year old girl. My books allow children to dream, but also show them that many of their dreams can become reality.”

Tammi has always wanted to write books, but when she had children, it made her want to write for them, and in some cases, about them. She is now working on a book for adults, and is excited to expand her subject matter and audience. 

Landry-Gilder is an indieBRAG Medallion Honoree and a winner of Shelf Unbound’s Best Indie Book list of 2018 for her chapter book, “The Adventures of Mr. Distracted.”  

Tammi is a regular contributor to Her View From Home lifestyle magazine, a place millions of women turn for positive inspiration about parenting, marriage, relationships and faith.  Her articles vary, but mostly cover mental health issues, grief, and many articles about motherhood/children.  Tammi also has featured articles in Scary Mommy, The Mighty, and LifePosts by the Huffington Post. Tammi resides in West Bloomfield and enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.

Tammi does free readings at schools, bookstores, libraries, coffee shops,  anywhere!  She says she’s happy to go just about any place and she enjoys reading to children and talking with them about the writing process, editing, publishing, etc.

Tammi tells us, "I’m always working on a new book! I have another children’s book almost finished, and I’m working on a book for adults.”
