Using ingredients and flavors we all know and love, we will explore the 5 different key aspects that make up wine. Experience acidity, tannins, sweetness, body, and alcohol in an interactive and casual environment with Erin Wiehe from For Your World Wine Importers!

Give yourself the knowledge to speak confidently about wine.

Erin started her journey to Italian wines more than 20 years ago when she lived in Rome during her undergrad studies.

She returned in 2018 to take a yearlong sabbatical, this time sheltering between the Tuscan hills and extending her passion for wine. While teaching English and learning Italian Erinโ€™s love of Italy grew to where she would turn a passion into a business.

With an undergrad in Languages and an MBA in International Finance, Erinโ€™s 20+ year career has traversed many functions including Program Management, Finance, Sales, Import / Export in the Aerospace, semiconductor, and automotive industries.

She has passed the WSET Level 2 and has gained the IWS (Italian Wine Scholar) certification. Although now her roots are firmly grounded in Milford where she enjoys running, gardening and of course drinking wine, she has travelled extensively throughout the EU and USA.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Grazie, Erin of For Your World Wine Importers! Last night's Women In Milford wine tasting took us on a journey through Italy with exquisite bottles imported by Erin herself. The flavors, the stories, and the connections made this an unforgettable evening.

From whole to skim, milk taught us it's all about the body! At last night's Women In Milford meetup, we visually grasped the concept of wine body using different types of milk. Thanks to Erin's creativity, we now know how to describe wines with the confidence of a sommelier!  Wellโ€ฆ not quite yet, but we sure learned a lot and had a blast!

We discovered that acidity plays a crucial role in wine's flavor profile. Thanks to Erin's brilliant wine tasting event, we now know how to savor those zesty notes in every sip!

Be sure to keep checking our stories and posts for info on the next meetup - itโ€™s going to be one you wonโ€™t want to miss!

The importance of tannins, just like steeping a tea bag in hot water. Those subtle astringent elements add depth and character to each glass of wine.

Like sugar in a treat, sweetness in wine can balance acidity and enhance the overall experience.

We couldn't think of a better way to understand alcohol's impact on wine than with a splash of vodka. The Women In Milford wine tasting event truly enlightened us on how alcohol content influences flavors and body.

Thank you, Erin, for planning a night that nourished both our minds and palates!

Special thanks, too, to Kristel Coronado-Adair for making us beautiful wine bottle and wine glass cookies!
