March Meetup: Volunteer & Beer
We’re pleased to announce the Women In Milford March Meet-Up: Volunteer & Beer!
If you attended our Gala in 2021, you heard the powerful stories from LACASA Center and the wonderful work they do to help victims of abuse. We will be heading over there to offer some hands-on help.
And, with the help of Women In Milford, River’s Edge Brewery has chosen LACASA as the recipient of their March FeelGood Tap, where $1 from every sale of their Slea Head Irish Red beer will go to LACASA. After our volunteer work, we’ll head to River’s Edge Brewery for a little networking meet-up!
Join us for an afternoon of hands-on volunteer work and refreshing beer! We will be assisting LACASA in two areas:
1. At the center, they receive donations that resources that are made available to their clients. We will be helping them sort through and organize these donations, making it easy for LACASA staff to come grab what they need.
2. LACASA Collection is LACASA’s resale store. All store proceeds go directly to fund critical programs at the center. We will be assisting the store staff with general administrative tasks, and housekeeping needs., covering Instagram Reels with one of the best in the business! Be sure to bring your phones. This event is completely free.

Anne Preston is the Volunteer Specialist at LACASA! LACASA Center is the only agency of its kind in Michigan - and one of just a few in the nation - that provides comprehensive, wrap-around services for ALL victims of abuse under one roof. This helps reduce trauma for victims, survivors and their families. None of this is possible without the support of the volunteers, and my role involves working with those lovely volunteers! We would be honored to have you, and I thank you for your consideration and support!
