Amanda Holdsworth

Meet Dr. Amanda Holdsworth, APR, founder of Holdsworth Communications, the School Comms Lab and Comms Mom.

Amanda has worked in educational PR and marketing for more than 20 years and founded Holdsworth Communications in 2016. The team helps tell the stories of schools, districts and universities worldwide through strategic communications, enrollment marketing programs and public relations services. They currently work with clients on three continents, and Amanda is a sought-after speaker for school leaders looking to level up their communications practices. Her clients have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, USA Today and on NBC National News.

In 2021, she founded the School Comms Lab in response to dozens of requests from schools during the pandemic for additional marketing resources. The membership community provides hundreds of design templates and dozens of on-demand trainings specific to school communications, with plans to expand into additional languages next year.

Amanda, her husband, Doug, and their daughters moved to Milford in 2019 after searching for their forever home here for several years. For fun, she posts and blogs at Comms Mom, so follow her there for content related to moms working in communications-related fields and traveling families.
