Brittany Minix

Meet Brittany Minix, owner of Tweet’s Sweets in Milford, Michigan.  Known only to her grandparents as “Tweet,” Brittany’s one-woman bakery creates desserts with a twist for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, baby showers and everything in between.

“I always wanted to have the best chocolate chip cookies. I started in college, and it morphed into my passion about four years ago,” says Brittany.  That’s when this self-taught baker opened Tweet’s Sweets. “I decided to turn it into a business because my sales were increasing and I wanted to spread the word even more,” explains Brittany.

Along with the typical bakery treats, one of Brittany’s unique creations stands out - her Cake Jars. “My favorite items to make are my cake jars; a delicious pint of fluffy cake layered with creamy buttercream all the way to the top of a mason jar,” she explains. "Just take a spoon and dig in!”  Brittany tells us “the cake jars were thought of one night when Cory and I were eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. I thought ‘hmm… this would be so amazing in cake form’ and 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘮 the cake jar was formed! They can be kept in the freezer for up to two months, and in the fridge for up to a week. I can make any flavor you can think of. My personal favorite is salted caramel.” 

When she’s not at her full-time paralegal job, you can be sure to find Brittany on some sort of adventure with her family and two dogs
