Meet Kristen Woods, owner of Proud of you, Kid! Photography in Highland, Michigan.  Kristen has an eye for detail and a knack for capturing the perfect candid shot. Her portfolio includes a wide range of sports, from baseball & football to skateboarding & wake surfing. She believes that every athlete, no matter their age or skill level, deserves to have their talents showcased and celebrated.

“Watching my kids play sports was always a source of joy for me,” explains Kristen. “However, I found that I was not able to capture their best moments on camera. This led me to invest in better photography equipment and start learning more about sports photography. As I improved my skills, I realized that there was a demand for high-quality sports photography in my community. My boys inspired me to start my own sports photography business to provide other parents with the opportunity to capture their children's special moments on the field or court.”

“Capturing young athletes in action is a joy for me because it allows me to freeze a moment in time that the athlete's parents can treasure forever,” Kristen shares. “Seeing the pride and happiness on a parent's face when they receive a photo of their child excelling in their sport is truly rewarding. I am able to capture the determination, team spirit, and joy of the athletes, while also providing parents with a tangible way to celebrate their child's accomplishments. It is a privilege to be able to document these precious moments and create lasting memories for families to cherish.”
