Malu Trice

Meet Malu Trice, owner of Malusic Jewelry, a business based on creativity, inclusivity, and a goal to be as eco-friendly as possible, in Commerce Township, Michigan.

At a very young age, Malu, decided to get into business for herself and learn a new trade; born out of love of adorning herself in jewelry.  No as a newly 14-year-old, Malu is a young entrepreneur with a gorgeous inventory and online shop!

“I can make just about anything that doesn't need heavy machinery and try to make new things and new styles,” she explains. “I usually make, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and body jewelry (chain bras, chain belts, belt chains, etc.).”

Malusic Jewelry is made with a variety of materials, mostly metal and crystal items she purchases both first and second-hand.  The next step in the process is sanitization, before creation. “I use about anything I can get my hands on for things I needed to buy like wire and earring hooks I just use what I can buy from any craft store but for things like beads I usually repurpose old jewelry and use the beads,” she says. “I haven't done lots of research on supplies since I'm trying to be as eco friendly as possible.”  For a lot of her pieces, she says, she can tell you all about the stones she uses and their spiritual meanings.

My favorite pieces are probably body jewelry  or bracelet pieces,” Malu shares, “Especially more complicated ones when it comes to body jewelry. I love coming up with the designs and seeing how it would work or fit when making it!”

Malu would love to see her work in stores one day, but is perfectly content with her online shop for now. Malu is happiest when she gets to share her creations and ideas with other people who appreciate and like them as much as she does.  Be sure to check out her website today!
