Our January meetup, Social Reset, at Milford Collective was nothing short of awesome - what a perfect way to start the year! We welcomed new members into our already amazing group of women last night; how inspiring to connect with some new and interesting business owners, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to our community!
We dug deep into the essentials of social media, specifically focussing on Instagram and its potential for entrepreneurs. We explored the strategy of batching posts and reels, a real game-changer when trying to prevent not feel so overwhelmed and ensure consistent content delivery. Emphasizing the importance of adopting the client/customer's perspective, we recognized that stepping outside our daily routine and inner knowledge of the job is crucial when engaging with those new to our business or product. Remember - just because you know it doesnโt mean anyone else does, so show us all that cool stuff that goes into your business!
Our discussion got into the nitty-gritty details of social media success, covering hashtags, searchable words, accessibility, and reach. Demystifying the Instagram Algorithm, we unveiled its complexity, comprising multiple algorithms designed to keep users engaged. In other words, there isnโt one Instagram Algorithm, there are several, and they all want you in that app for as long as possible. The key takeaway was clear โ knowing theyโre designed to keep the user on the app, they may as well be looking at your content, right?
