June Meetup: Blankets & Brainstorming

RSVP HERE!

This June, for the 3rd year in a row, weโ€™re bringing back Blankets & Brainstorming - and this year, weโ€™re adding a little yoga!

A Women In Milford favorite, this meetup is held during the busiest time of year for many. Despite the hustle and bustle, it's perhaps one of the most helpful gatherings as we come together, leaning on each other for inspiration and problem-solving like never before.

This time, we're adding a relaxing 15-minute yoga session led by Carly Kish before diving into our brainstorming session.

A little bit about Carly: Our talented yoga teacher has over 1000 hours of teaching experience. Her inclusive teaching style helps connect mind, body, and spirit. Carly also offers remote meditation sessions and is a Reiki Master, so be sure to follow @yogawithcarly_

Join us for an evening of creativity and relaxation at Center Street Park's downtown Milford gazebo!

  • Some Blankets will be provided to sit on, but bring your own if you have one!

  • This event is completely free.

Everyone has great ideas, sometimes you just need a fresh perspective!

Plan to come with your creative thinking caps on!  Members will be sharing; giving and receiving fresh ideas to help brainstorm new ways to help promote their businesses either through social media marketing or event ideas, giveaways, etc.  There is no bad idea!  Even the tiniest bit of an idea could turn into something that really helps!

This is another great opportunity to get to know one another and learn how we can continue to support each other.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Tonightโ€™s meetup: Blankets & Brainstorming at Center Street Park in Downtown Milford was a blast! We started with an awesome 15-minute yoga session led by Carly Kish, which was just what we needed to stretch our muscles and get our brains in gear for some serious brainstorming.

The relaxed atmosphere helped us come up with creative solutions for various topics like DIY photos, branding advice, and a basic "get started" marketing kit. We also brainstormed ways to improve reels and general promotion, including finding new ways to promote what seems boring or stale to us but not necessarily to our customers. It was a fun, productive evening filled with great ideas and helpful advice!

Some of our big takeaways from tonight were really inspiring. Every business owner, whether new or experienced, needs a confidence boost sometimes, so remember to be that hype woman for someone you believe in. Itโ€™s crucial to get feedback from others, and don't forget that managing social media is a job in itself, so it's normal to feel overwhelmed. You got this!

Last night's June Meetup: Planets & Brainstorming at Center Street Park in Downtown Milford was fantastic! We kicked things off with an invigorating 15-minute yoga session led by Carly Kish at the town gazebo. The stretches and yoga moves were exactly what we needed to loosen up our muscles and get our minds in the perfect state for some serious brainstorming. Carlyโ€™s session left us feeling refreshed and ready to dive into a creative meeting.

The brainstorming session was both relaxed and highly productive. We focused on coming up with ideas for a basic โ€œget startedโ€ marketing kit, including DIY photo tips and branding advice to help businesses establish a strong presence. We discussed creative solutions for improving reels and general promotion, with some great suggestions on how to make engaging content for Instagram and TikTok. Specific ideas included new ways to promote baked goods through visually appealing reels and engaging posts.

We also explored ways to find new clients and discussed practical solutions like finding a commercial kitchen space for those in need. The collaborative environment sparked a lot of innovative ideas and useful advice that everyone found beneficial. It was a wonderful evening of stretching our bodies and minds, connecting with each other, and generating actionable ideas to help our businesses thrive.
