Kate Maglothin
Meet Kate Maglothin, co-owner of Maglothin Well & Water Treatment LLC in Milford, Michigan. She and her husband Glen have been serving Milford and its surrounding communities for over 10 years.
Kate gets service requests of all kinds, but the number one request? No water. “No water is considered an emergency as it is a sanitation issue,” explains Kate. “We comply with Oakland County Health Department and state and federal agencies such as the Department of Environmental Quality. We also have a tremendous amount of people that call for an odor in their water and/or low water pressure.” No doubt, this is a service we all need!
Fun Fact from Kate: “Oakland County is home to the largest number of residential water wells per capita in the entire United States. People generally don’t think about the quality of their home water system and the impact it can have on their mental and physical health. Everything from hair strength and shine to gut health can be improved by the efficiency of the water in your home.”
Though Mahlothin Well & Water Treatment gets calls for residents with no water, their specialty is definitely well drilling and pump installation, and they really excel in their water treatment and softener installations. “We provide well drilling, pump and tank install and repair,” says Kate. “We also sell and install water softener systems, and Reverse Osmosis systems.”

As a mother of 5, Kate is passionate about her and her family’s mental and physical health, including their own water intake. Kate adds, “When looking to improve the quality of your water, remember flashier isn’t always better. The best and cleanest water comes right from the ground and when treated properly can be extremely effective and relatively inexpensive.”
