April Meetup: Uplift, Reach Out & Drink Up!

Join us Thursday, April 20, in the new Huron Room at River's Edge Brewing Co. to  relax, catch up, and taste the beer we brewed & named!  We also have some special guests joining us from Uplift Milford!

This event is FREE!  Taps will be open if anyone is interested in purchasing beer.

We will be enjoying the fruits of our labor* from International Women's Day while we hear a short presentation from Uplift Milford:  

"Uplift Milford was formed when some parents noticed a need within Huron Valley Schools.  Uplift is here to help families by providing short term help for long term hardship.  Our first project was to establish a space at Milford High School where students have access to every day, toiletries and essentials. Recently, the Milford high school newspaper, the Milford Messenger featured an article on The Mav Shed.  Mav Shed was even featured on news channel 7. We look forward to helping more families in Milford.”

*Keeping the name a secret to the public until the beer’s release.

Women in Milford got to hang out in the new Huron Room at River's Edge Brewing Co. to taste the beer we made (and named 𝘓𝘢𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭)  in March on International Women's Day!

Nicole Fitzmaurice, our brewer, said a few words of thanks and described how the floral ingredients we used in brewing mature in time and can sometimes change the flavor of the beer. 

Uplift Milford shared their mission with us: "Providing local families with short-term support to help prevent long-term hardship." If you're local, please check them out and consider helping their cause.  

Also, pop into @riversedgebrew for a pint of Lawless Loral - it's their @feelgoodtap this month and proceeds will go to @uplift_milford.

It was so wonderful having new faces join the veterans of Women In Milford!  Fantastic catching up with everyone and having an awesome time in the beautiful new space at River's Edge.  We love our educational meetups, but these casual get-togethers are so great and much-needed, too!
